A: NO. You will record YOUR personal message much like you would on an answering machine. That message is then sent to every phone number on your list.


Q: If no one answers, is my message left on their voicemail?
A: YES. Your birth announcement will be left on voicemail if no one answers.


Q: Are there any additional long-distance charges on top of the $12.99 fee?
A: There are NO additional charges for long distance calls to anywhere in the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The $12.99 fee includes everything you need to set up your account and announce the birth of your baby!


Q: I don't know 50 people I would want to call. Do I need to use all 50 numbers?
A: NO. You do not have to use all of the numbers. You can use any amount up to the 50 numbers available.


Q: I am not sure about giving 50 friends' telephone numbers to BirthMail.com. What do you do with the phone numbers?
A: BirthMail.com will NOT sell or distribute, in any way, the telephone numbers you supply. They are kept completely confidential behind a firewall and 128 bit encryption. In addition, all of our crediit cards are securely processed using PayPal. We do not store any credit card information.


Q: Someone did not receive my message. How can I check the results of my call?
A: You simply login to your account and look at the status of the calls.


Q: I don’t have all of my numbers right now. Can I log on and input my numbers later?
A: Yes you can. You can come back to the site and logon to maintain your phone list at any time prior to sending the message.


Q: What if I need more than 50 calls?
A: You will have to buy an additional package. You can do this simply by logging in and making a purchase.


Q: What happens if my child is born at 3 a.m.? Will you deliver my message that early in the morning?
A: BirthMail.com only delivers messages between the hours of 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. EST. You can call and create your message 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If you create your message after 11 p.m. EST. it will delivered after 7 a.m. the next morning.

Q. How do I purchase a calling package as a gift for someone else?
A. To purchase a calling package as a gift, you simply sign up and purchase a calling package as a gift. At that time you will be required to enter the recipent’s name and email address. Once you complete your order, an email will be sent to the recipient notifying them of your gift and will also provide them with step by step instructions on how to activate and use the gift.

Q. I don’t want my gift to be sent immediately. I want to give it to my friend at the baby shower. How can I do that?
A. When you purchase the calling package, you will choose the option to purchase for yourself. This only requires your email address. Then once you are ready to send the gift by email you would log on and send your gift to the recipient using the transfer option. This will send the recipient an email notifying them of the gift and will also provide them with step by step instructions on how to activate and use the gift.

Q. I don’t know the email of the person I need to send the gift to. How can I make the purchase anyway?
A. You will have to purchase the gift for yourself and then transfer it to the recipient when you obtain the email address.

Q. Can I send a gift certificate by mail instead of email?
A. Yes, BirthMail gives you two options, send gift by email or send gift by US Mail. The email option is free, and there is an additional charge to send by US Mail. The US Mail option is wrapped nicely and sent within 3-5 days to the address you specify.

Q. My gift was not received by the recipient. What do I do?
A. If your gift has not been received, please contact customerservice@birthmail.com with order number and specify whether it was sent by email or US Mail. In most cases it can be resent to your recipient.

Q. How soon will my message be sent?
A. Once you record your message and press send, it will be placed in a queue and sent out it order. It usually takes less than an hour to send out your messages.
